The new documentary film, “OCEAN OF GRASS-Life on a Nebraska Sandhills Ranch” was created by former Ogallala native Georg Joutras. OCEAN OF GRASS is an organic journey about life rolled up into the ranch experience. It is an experiential, immersive documentary capturing a year in the life of a 130 year old Nebraska Sandhills ranch.

Come out to Ash Hollow to celebrate Halloween with the ghosts of the Oregon Trail! Enjoy kid’s games, concessions, archery, crafts, costume contests and more from 12:00pm to 4:00pm. Trunk or Treat starts at 4:00pm and visitors are welcome to participate in the fun by decorating their trunk and providing candy for the kids. A Haunted Trail Walk starts after dark. Visitor Center will be open 12:00pm-5:00pm.
Free admission to event. The museum will be open with a fee of $2 per adult (13 and over) and $1 per child (3 to 12).
Ash Hollow is located 3 miles southeast of Lewellen on U.S. Hwy. 26

The Keith County Historical Society will host their annual American Girl Halloween Party Saturday, Oct. 27 from 1:30 to 3:00 pm at the Ogallala Holiday Inn Express. Advance tickets only, space is limited. 1 Adult and 1 Child $20.00, additional child $8.00, limit 2. Includes hair styling for child and doll, crafts, sweet treats and costume parade.
