1st Day Hike at Lake Ogallala

Start your New Year with a 1st Day Hike at Lake Ogallala State Recreation Area!   All ages welcome.  Meet at 7 am at the Eagle Viewing Center for a 1 mile walk, including a 30-45 minute tour of the hydroelectric plant.  Then enjoy free hot chocolate or coffee at the end at the Eagle Viewing Center.  All vehicles will need a 2019 park entry permit.  Dogs are welcome on the hike on a 6′ leash, but pets are not allowed in the hydroelectric plant.    Please RSVP at 308-284-8800 so they can plan tour groups.  Be sure to dress warmly: coat, hats, gloves, scarf.
