The Tribute to Fallen Soldiers Memorial Torch Motorcycle Ride will be making a stop in Ogallala on Saturday, July 30th at approximately 5:45 to 6:00 p.m to honor Travis Ford. The Riders will be stopping at the Ogallala Elks Lodge at 111 West 2nd Street and recognizing Travis Ford’s Mother, Josie Ford.

 

We would like to encourage anyone interested in supporting this event to please line West 2nd Street on the sidewalks – Bring Flags to wave! What a welcoming sight that would be!

 

We would also ask local businesses to please fly the American Flag and their Welcome Flag all day Saturday.

 

If you would like to ride with the Motorcyclists, meet the riders in Big Springs, Nebraska prior to the arrival in Ogallala. They have scheduled a 30 minute break in Big Springs. I would recommend being in Big Springs at 5 to allow time to meet up with the riders.

 

This is truly a wonderful event to be a part of, and it truly shows each of the surviving families that there are still people out there who care and remember.
